Who Am I? Let Chopra & Oprah Help You Figure that Out

“Who Am I?” This is the question I was confronted with on Day 1 of the free “Desire & Destiny” meditation program by Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey, which even though it started three days ago, isn’t too late to sign up for by the way.

So, “Who am I?”An important question that many of us have no doubt asked ourselves in the past, but may not have given much thought to recently. If answers such as, “I’m a stay-at-home mom,”  “A business executive,” or “Someone fighting breast cancer” immediately come to mind, you need to dig a little deeper and ask yourself who you truly are. You see, we often think we are our profession, a particular role we have, or an experience we are going through, but that’s not the answer. Instead, as Deepak Chopra explains, we are our deepest desire.

You’re probably thinking to yourself, “Great. How do I know what my deepest desire is?” Well, by meditating of course! And Day 1 of the meditation gently takes you down the path to learning how to meditate with an inspirational opening by Oprah, followed by an easy guided meditation and closing by Deepak Chopra. All the while, you get to listen to soothing music. And it only lasts about 20 minutes total – an easy, manageable time chunk you can fit it when it works best for you. Sounds great, huh?

It is! After being thoroughly inspired and deeply relaxed from the meditation,  I had the clarity to realize I wanted to share its main message:

As you meditate, your desires will become known. Your desires are “fuel” for fulfilling your true self. Once you know what you desire, you can set intentions to make it happen. Once you start setting intentions, you then begin taking action. Your actions then eventually lead you to fulfilling your destiny.

Sound so simple, doesn’t it? That’s the beauty of the meditations. They really help set a clear path for you to follow and make you feel anything is truly possible. Plus, as I’ve discussed in numerous previous blog posts, meditation has so many benefits, such as reducing stress, lowering anxiety, and enhancing your overall health and well being, how can you not give it a try?

Let me know if Day 1’s meditation helps you realize your deepest desire.  I’ll keep you posted as well!

Hello Karen Peltier, You generally keep on stunning me at how regularly you present to me a message I need exactly at the correct time. Each time I genuinely need support, you appear to be there with uplifting statements. God realizes I required this today. Much obliged to you over and over.
