Ecover, the well-known European green cleaning manufacturer, has acquired the San Francisco-based company Method, making it the largest green cleaning company in the world! But, don’t worry. If you’re a fan of Method’s eco-friendly, stylishly designed cleaning and personal care products, they’ll still be around.
Ecover and Method will operate separately, but become one powerhouse able to distribute both brands’ products worldwide to the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Australia, so consumers will have more opportunities to embrace green cleaning. Considering both companies will collectively generate sales of $200 million with this combined venture, that’s not too shabby.
It definitely seems like a merger made in green cleaning heaven. Both companies place a strong importance on innovation, sustainability, stylish design, and using plant-based ingredients. Also, as pointed out in the company’s press release, there will be a combined approach towards research and development, so be on the lookout for great new products from both companies the next time you’re shopping the green cleaning aisle at your local supermarket!
